The University of Washington community is mourning the tragic death of Juniper Blessing, a 19-year-old transgender student who was fatally stabbed at an off-campus student housing complex in Seattle. The heartbreaking incident has sparked grief, concern, and renewed conversations about safety within the university community. Authorities have confirmed that Christopher Leahy has been arrested in connection with the deadly attack.

According to investigators, the stabbing occurred late Sunday night inside a laundry room at the Nordheim Court Apartments, a housing complex associated with the University of Washington. Emergency responders arrived at the scene after reports of a violent incident, but Juniper Blessing was pronounced dead at the scene despite lifesaving efforts.
